The Money Game stage play was writen and directed by Ajx Diop. It was produced by AJX Productions in conjuction with Emmett Glover, Circulation Entertainment, and Nickole Hawkins. Mel Jackson, Tammy McGarity, and Curtis Blake starred in The Money Game.
The play centered around Hakeem Jordan, played by Mel Jackson. We took the audience on a jouney diving into the two most important issues of the family: money and self-respect. The play is a timeless and ageless peice that will still be revelant long after the transition of it's author.
It is true that some working people are perturbed at public schools and their parents for promoting a 'work hard' philosophy. They have realized that television shows, advertisements, and music have misguided them and causes them to act in ways diametrically opposed to their own interests. "The Money Game" provides it's audience with financial literacy (assets over liabilities). The play goes further by delving into the social dilemma of natural hair versus permed hair.
"The Money Game" asks the question: "Did God make your hair right?".
"The Money Game" sold out the first show in Macon, GA. AJX Productions is currently working with Circulation Entertainment, The First Passage, IEye Am Films, and individual investors to produce a 13 show tour in 2017.
